TURBOJET: THE CLASSY SEA TRAVEL EXPERIENCE TO CHINA’S SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGIONS
Never
had the sea been calm each time I travel to Macau or Hongkong via ferry. The motion sickness that I once had when I
was on my younger years has slowly been eradicated by the constant trips that I
have while on open sea.
This
time, I am glad I will be pampered on a luxurious 1 hour trip to and from Hongkong
in an upgraded ticket of Premier Grand Class. The motion sickness was
completely forgotten as I feast on the sumptuous and non-stop set meals offered
while on board. It was a feeling as if
there is buffet lunch but travel time has been set as a time constraint.
As
holders of Premier Grand Class tickets, after we were cleared at the
immigration, we were ushered to the exclusive Premier Lounges, both in Macau
and Hongkong.
TurboJet Premier Lounge
Hongkong and Macau
This
will be the first time that I shall experience staying at the lounge minutes
before the scheduled sailing. I keep on
wondering if there would be a time my whole family get to experience this one
as well – relaxed and not panicking minutes before the trip since we’re good at
“the last minute passenger” scenario.
For
Premier Grand Class passengers, we were given free drinks and snacks. The ground personnel at Hongkong are so
accommodating and attentive that it feels like a royalty. The ticket comes with a complimentary luggage
check-in, storage and porter services as well.
Before
we board bound for Macau, my travel buddies and I were
separated from the other passengers and were taken to a lift to queue on a
different lane for boarding. It was
indeed a luxurious introduction for a sea travel.
Other
passengers to avail of such service are charged at HK$80 per person (MOP80 per
person).
On our way back to Hongkong while at
the Macau Premier Lounge, I enjoyed the complimentary cakes and pastries that I
lost count of the number of slices I have consumed.
While On Board
The
Scandinavian-inspired interior of the TurboJet is simply refreshing and akin
to an airline ambiance. For both the VIP
Cabin and the Premier Grand Class, the experience comes with a reclinable
leather seats, the latest LED cabin lighting system, top-quality onboard
entertainment system and of course, the free Wifi service for us to be social
media updated at all times even while on sea.
The
VIP cabin comes with a self-controlled air conditioning and lighting system,
offering passengers with the unparalleled privacy and space that they want.
What are the exclusive
services for Premier Grand Class?
For
an ordinary ticket holder, the basics of just sitting down, sleep and look
forward to disembarkation is what to expect.
There are no extra ordinary services and that is what I have experienced
for most of the times.
Since
our reserved tickets were upgraded to a Premier Grand Class, there are
unimaginable perks that you wouldn’t expect for a sea travel. There are exclusive ticketing counters;
passengers may choose to board any other sailings of HK-Macau route on the same
departure day (day sailing tickets are not applicable to night sailings and is
subject to seat availability); the use of online meal reservation service,
which is 24 hours prior to sailing time; free porter services within the HK
Macau ferry terminal; free check-in for two (2) pieces of standard size luggage
(including a golf bag or bicycle) and priority disembarkation.
The
most enjoyable part of our voyage is actually the variety of delicious set
meals and snacks with choices of red or white wine, hot coffee, beer and cold
drinks. Complimentary champagne are exclusively available for VIP Cabin
passengers.
Travelling
from Hongkong to Macau, apart from the set lunch prepared in the name of veal,
we ordered hotdogs in a bun and German beers to satisfy our hunger.
Knowing
how delicious the hotdogs are, we were so excited to go back to Hongkong from
Macau and be on board once again at TurboJet for a fix of “hotdog bun
addiction”.
Complimentary Land Transfer
Service
The
Premier Service does not end at sea, as it extends through a complimentary land
transfer between Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal and Hong Kong International
Airport or between Macau Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal and any destination in
Macau.
The
trip was ended hassle-free because of TurboJet’s world class and indeed
premier grand class services. We were
able to avail of the land transfer from the Macau Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal
to our respective booked accommodations.
I was booked at the Landmark Hotel while my friends were at the
Metropole Hotel.
