SAV HOTEL: THE WORLD OF STYLE ATTITUDE AND VISION
Red
is the color of passion, vitality and enthusiasm. As we arrived midnight at the Sav Hotel of
Hongkong, red controls the reception area in a strong and imposing tone. With the hotels’ savvy and fashionable
receptionists, we were guided on expectations to be set as we checked-in.
The
personalized introduction of color journey and the benefits provided for our
stay at the hotel was clearly delivered by the receptionist. The Sav colors include orange, red, yellow,
pink, green, purple and blue. Each day,
the color of the reception area changes on the same note that one’s mood and personality may vary
every day.

My Deluxe Room
I was
assigned to a very spacious deluxe room made even more comfortable with its
well-lit and ventilated space of high ceilings, full-length window and
contemporary décor.
Each
room assigned is matched with the guest’s color preference. Default color for my room was purple which I
was too lazy to change or at least discover how to. In-room features and amenities are simply the
best!

The
complimentary wi-fi access and mini-bar would make you decide not to leave the
room and simply hibernate. But that
can’t be done as we did not visit Hongkong just to sleep. It’s good to know that almost all hotels in
Hong Kong provide an in-room handy phone for unlimited local and international
calls to five designated countries, including mainland China, South Korea,
Singapore, Thailand and USA. The mobile
phone has been very useful in our continuous research and easy navigation of
the streets and alleys of Hong Kong.

The Gallery-Floor of Love
Though
no one in the group is checked-in at the Floor of Love, we were given the
opportunity to take a peek of the 22nd floor of the hotel where
finish products of artists and creative talents of different genres are
showcased.

Palette for Buffet Breakfast
There’s
no better way to start a city exploration but to have a good breakfast. In a dynamic and colorful space of Palette,
we found ourselves indulged in a global cuisine gastronomic treat.

is a standout for me at Palette. There
are a lot of offerings ranging from Chinese to Western cuisine, which
definitely pleased our palates.

We
were surprised that the hotel has an outdoor terrace named the Sonic Garden and
positioned at the 5th floor of the building. The hotel is surrounded by residential areas
and in itself is a refurbished office building.
It is quite amazing how they maintained gatherings at the said floor, in
an open space at that, and yet neighborhood does not raise any complaints.

Had
we known this outdoor terrace exists, we could have stayed here on our first
night for a drinking spree under the stars.
Complimentary Shuttle
Service and Easy Access to Public Transport
Going
around Hong Kong Island and Kowloon is even made manageable and hassle-free
with the free shuttle service that the hotel offers. Our city exploration is made more fun and
relatively convenient for the fact that the hotel is accessible to major public
transport systems and a walking distance to the bus stop going to the airport.
The
strategic location of the hotel is basically one of the factors why it should
be considered when looking for a hotel at Kowloon.
