THE PEARL MANILA HOTEL

by - 10:07 PM

It's another boring weekend with this monotonous and boring career life I had.  But don't get me wrong, I do enjoy and love my profession, it's just that when compared to others, I feel envious of the fact that some can just travel all they want and sometimes expense-paid at that.

As the rainy season voluntarily welcomed itself in this tropical country of ours, I grabbed all my files, laptop and been invited by a few friends to have a staycation right at the center of Metro Manila.  With no toiletries and clothes on hand, just my files and a laptop, we had an overnight stay at the Pearl Manila Hotel.

Location:  General Luna Street, Corner Taft and United Nations Avenue, Ermita, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Unplanned as it is, we checked in at 8PM.  As soon as we checked-in, I started to do both of my worlds, as a service provider to numerous clients through the preparation of my endless pleadings to be filed and as a travel blogger, scrutinizing each and every detail of our suite room.

COST

By making a comparison with other hotel rates, the rate of a suite room at The Pearl Manila Hotel would definitely be the cheapest.  The room costs 5,000.00 for an overnight inclusive of breakfast for three (3) and additional 100 pesos was charged for late check-out as we intend to check out also at 8PM the following day.

THE ROOM

With a superior-king bed suite, upon entering we were greeted by a mini kitchen and a mini-sala.  It was like staying at your very own pad or unit.

The room was so spacious with a bed covered with thick and comfortable mattress.

And of course, a review would not be complete without an insight on the comfort rooms.  Honestly, there is much to improve on the cleanliness of the comfort room.  Basic amenities and toiletries are available but the dilapidation of the comfort rooms is clear, which warrants more maintenance.

Each room is said to be equipped with modern amenities such as cable TV, electronic door lock system, safe, phone, mini-bar and dressers.

However, there is no internet access on the rooms, which is a negative points for me.  Internet access is available at the reception area and the restaurant only.

Any staycation and vacation I had, the breakfast is always a part of the over-all review.  This is not to say that it is the food preparation itself that should be the main consideration, but the quality of service and over-all presentation as well.

Food was bearable and not that remarkable, however, the quality of service of the waiting staff is excellent.

Over-all, the experience at The Pearl Manila Hotel is satisfactory yet the facilities and amenities definitely needs to be improved.  With the near dilapidation and remote maintenance on some rooms of the hotel, this should be made a major consideration in improving the service it will provide to its clientele.

  1. Good day! reading this blog make me realize that not all cheap hotel maintain what they should maintain. They should know that maintaining the amenities, facilities and other things are needed for them to have more guests/visitor to check-in. Hotel Manila Philippines know lots of cheap hotels but will give you a luxurious experience.
