BEST 12 OF MY 2015 TRAVEL ITINERARIES

There’s a nostalgic feeling when lounging at the airports’ departure area and witnessing the chaos of travelers as they check-in and bid farewell to their friends and loved ones.  While currently at the airport, I found myself lurking – at my own social media accounts and smiles once in a while (as if I am in a lucid interval) as I reminisce the year that was.

I found true friends.  I lost some.  I chose to leave the indifference and move on.  YOLO as they say – you only live once.  I found comfort on the few choices of friends I have and traveled with them.

I am currently at the Mactan International Airport waiting for our delayed flight as I update this blog.  I am about to embark on a quest that will span a long period of time, taking advantage of the holiday season in the Philippines and will require utmost consideration from my officemates, friends and family.

Most travelers are hindered to travel abroad for reasons of visa grant and skyrocketing plane fares.  Almost 7 years ago, I had my first Southeast Asian backpacking tour (not literally carrying a backpack but with my old luggage in tow) in the middle of my final examinations in law school.  I did enjoy the experience that since then, it caused me to travel annually to any Southeast Asian destination.

Nothing is permanent in this world except change.  This famous adage, cliche as it may sound is a statement we all are inevitably bound.  People come and people go, and so is our climate.

Every affair will always come to an end.  With my 2013 summer affair, memories were built and adventures unfold which made me discover more of what my beloved country has to offer.  This is also the season where I was able to share my passion on travelling to the world through the re-birth of this travel blog of mine and consequently changed my perspective on traveling.  I was blessed to have been accepted by the world wide web audience in a 17,000 page views to date in a matter of two months.  A lot of things happened, both in my career and personal life.  The season was a transition period for me, a time to reflect and a time to acknowledge the realities of life.  Transient as the season may be, but I call this my ETERNAL SUMMER.

en route to Beijing, China from Xian City, China

Dear Readers,

It has been a year since I updated this travel journal of mine.  For indecisive decisions made and other activities indulged at, it has become nearly impossible for me to be able to return back to this so-called blogosphere. Nevertheless, like a long lost love finding its way to where it is destined to be, I am back to share all my travel experiences.

Since time immemorial, travel and adventure has been an inevitable part of my system.  Starting at the age of 6, my childhood days were spent with both voluntary and involuntary travels with my mother while doing seminars on the various cities and municipalities of Leyte and Samar and as far as Cebu and Manila during that time.

Uncertainty.  This has been the direction of my life sans the educational and professional achievements I have made.  To date, I vow to be a part time CPA-Lawyer and a full time traveler.  Countless, infinite and timeless reasons can be cited why we all travel.  With the notion that one who travels has all the money and luxury that life offers, I would like to prove otherwise. These type of judgment to me is irrational and baseless.  As the famous adage goes, "when there's a will there's a way".  Despite the mandatory work obligations and financial restraints, a traveler will always find its way wandering on whatever means he is accustomed to.

As a recap, for my travel and adventure through the years, here are some of the unforgettable moments that I hope would entice each one of you and unleash either the travel junkie or the posh traveler in you.
