QUALITY TIME AT B HOTEL QUEZON CITY
As soon as I entered the hotel, the pipes and ducts exposed complemented by the weathered gray cemented walls easily caught my attention. The unfinished and raw look of B Hotel’s interior design sets it apart from other hotels within the entertainment area of Timog and Morato Avenue, Quezon City.
The
modern and grand façade of the hotel provides no clue of its unique industrial
design concept. The unassuming name of
the hotel must have been the clue for such a simple yet elegant interiors.

ROOM FOR A NIGHT |
The
room is indeed spacious that my assigned room was able to fit all of us (ten)
in the group as we had our usual film showing of quality and artistic films at
the room without the feeling of a cramped space. The LCD cable TV with local and international
channels and video player served its purpose on the duration of our stay.
The ensuite bathroom and toilet is in a glass enclosure though blinds may be used for privacy. The wash-basin is positioned outside the bathroom and incorporated in the room next to the closet. Space was indeed maximized well.

At
the far end near the glass window is a working space with a noticeable red
chair adding character to the industrial design concept of the room. The view of Quezon City’s skyscrapers is an
added treat.
We
were given the opportunity to peek into the one-bedroom suite and it was indeed
spacious. With a living room, dining
room and a mini-kitchen it could pass as an apartment conducive for living in
months. The ensuite bathroom adjacent to
the bedroom has a bath tub positioned in one corner. If only we had the choice to stay at the said
type of room, it could have been a riot for the group – riot of fun! We have never stayed in one Family Suite in
all our planned staycations and maybe it will happen anytime soon.

THE LOBBY INTERIORS |
We
had our lunch before checking-in and the complimentary breakfast at the Lobby Café. The café can likewise be a good venue for
business meetings and even for drinking which we did on the last day at the
balcony which is also the smoking area of the hotel.
Some
in the group came from work on that day and that includes myself. I do have corporate duties to fulfill even on
mornings of Saturday and I was really hungry on my way to the hotel. Fortunately, some of my friends arrived
earlier and so food was already prepared even before I came.
It
was a feast for a late lunch. We had Organic
Farm Green Salad, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Pampano with Tausi Sauce, Pinakbet
with Bagnet, Beef Black Pepper Sauce, U.S. Angus Rib Eye and King Grilled Prawns.

Dinner
time came and as expected it’s another feast for the group. In a few elevated steps from the Lobby Café,
the Mezzanine Bar presents bottles of alcoholic hard drinks all ready to be
ordered and consumed. But we were not
stationed at the bar to drink rather to dine.
The
all-time favorites Crispy Pata, Beef
Salpicao and Breaded Fish Fillet were served on our long table.
B
Hotel is indeed simple and raw that even names of café and bars is a
given. The Mezzanine as it stands in
architecture is the immediate floor between main floors. It is separated from the Lobby Cafe by a
concrete stairway adorned by brick walls and photographs of Metro Manila
landmarks printed in black and white.

The
hotel also has conference and meeting rooms designed in a classroom type and of
an interesting interior design with one covered by brick walls.
B
Hotel makes every guest to feel at home. And despite the relatively short stay we had, it
was a quality time spent with friends which we can say another home found in
Quezon City.
