WEEKEND STAYCATION AT BRENTWOOD SUITES - QUEZON CITY
A newly-opened business
hotel rose up a few meters from where I live.
Known for the newly-opened mall (Fishers Mall) and other night clubs
along Quezon Avenue, it was an unexpected discovery that the area harbors an accommodation
with an ostentatious façade catering to both pleasure and business transients.
For yet another weekend, we
are at the newly opened Brentwood Suites situated at 6 Dr. Garcia Sr. Quezon
City. And it became the most relaxing
staycation I had - pure bliss and relaxation.
We’re not here to attend a
conference or a business meeting. So
what would be our itinerary for the night? Well, food trip and the rest is
history. But whatever it is you want to
do, Brentwood Suites is strategically located at the entertainment, shopping
and recreation centers of Quezon City. And even for a long walk you may engage
yourself into, the comforts of a good night sleep and more is within reach at
the Brentwood Suites.
The day started at a fast
food chain right at the corner of the Brentwood Suites. Then, we checked-in at the cozy lobby and
reception area of the hotel where species of flowers appears to be the main
theme. Even chandeliers are patterned
after a flower.
An air-conditioned superior
room equipped with an LCD-TV, mini refrigerator, desk table and a sofa with
footstool in one corner was booked for me.
It was so relaxing that a majority of our time were spent watching
movies on the cable-TV including the hyped romantic drama Filipino films to
gory American movie.
We were given the chance to
check on other rooms as well and my personal favorite is the deluxe room,
though not included in the published rooms.

“In the classification of rooms, it is somewhere between premiere and
junior suite”, the hotel staff relayed to us.
The interior design makes use of natural light with even natural
elements in display – stones to be specific!
I find the room charming and fit for a bachelor like me.
The junior suite is remarkable as well. With a bath tub and spacious receiving area and minimalist interior décor, who would not resist staying on this type of room?
Unfortunately, the executive
suite was occupied, thus, we were not able to peek on the grandest room the
hotel can offer. And I heard there’s a
Jacuzzi.
Brentwood Suites can be a
good venue for seminars, conferences and even special occasions such as wedding
receptions and birthday parties. The
conference halls are spacious, well-lit and well-maintained, conducive for an
official purpose intended.
While roaming around the
vicinity, the penthouse offered us a gym where we transformed from being lazy
to health conscious guests. Still lazy
that I am, I tried the stationary bike. A
treadmill and some cardiovascular training-related equipment were the choice of
my friends (do they really have a choice?)
Unexpectedly, we did enjoy the stint.
Café Elements at the ground
floor was the first order of the day the following day. With eyes half-opened and senses short of
function for whatever happened the night before, I have to drag myself to try
their breakfast buffet. And it was worth
it. The hotel offers the typical fusion
of Filipino and Western cuisine- a complete choice of every Filipino’s
breakfast meal actually.
Making use of the natural
light as part of the interiors of the cafe and upholstered chairs that scream
of red, it does appear formal and apt for business meetings.
Further, internet and parking
are free of charge. No reservation
needed for parking slots. There is also
a concierge and business center where rentals of computer are offered.
I have to say, Brentwood
Suites is one of the best choices for an affordable staycation in Quezon City
and suitable for an official function to be conducted. It does not claim to be a business hotel but
my impression does and I love it.
