Guijo Street of Makati have been in my directory list because of the bar named Saguijo, where I usually hang out during my days as a student.  Not until I together with siblings decided to stay in a hotel near the Chinese embassy did I learn that a calming ambiance of an accommodation sits in the center of an urban jungle, that is, the Guijo Suites. Guijo Suites exceeded our expectations as we opened the door.  We were expecting a simple room for a low price paid, but upon settling down in our guestroom, we were greeted by a room elegantly styled and fitted with plush bedding and select amenities, such as air-conditioning, flat screen LED TV with cable channels, mini-bar, coffee and tea maker, and safety deposit box for guests' valuables.

Guests' security being of utmost importance, rooms used key card access system and the hotel is equipped with a 24-hour CCTV units.

The exquisite accommodations are complemented by facilities and services like free Wi-fi Internet access and the Lobby Restobar.  Before I went to the airport for my first solo trip abroad, I stayed at the restobar and placed an order for a meal.  Though meals may be quite pricey, service was excellent with a homey ambiance.  It was truly a rewarding overnight stay that can make me proclaim: I shall return.
