SEOUL: HOTEL BAROATO
Conceptualized with the use of uncovered mass concrete, wood,
metal and glass-interior finishing materials, Hotel Baroato provides the
experience of a modern Korean living.
Literally translated, it means upright (“baro”) gift (“ato”).
The hotel is strategically located, being a few distances only
from the Hongik University subway station passing by artsy cafes and
restaurants and no need for line transfers when going to and from the Incheon
International Airport.
The challenge is,
it is specifically situated in one narrow alley, although still manageable.
ROOMS
There are six room types in this hotel. These are:
bunk beds dormitory for male and female, double room, twin room, triple
room and Junior Suite Family room. With an
industrial type interior design, the accommodation feels more homey and

We made our reservations in a triple room that comes with a double bed
plus a single bed. There is a Korean
style bedside cabinet as well as part of the ornaments, with a dressing table,
vanity mirror and a chandelier.
The air-conditioned room comes with an ensuite bathroom with
shower providing towels and complete toiletries. There is a television set as well and a
complimentary wifi.
The room comes with a free breakfast. Bordering to a hostel, breakfast is not the same with the usual buffet offerings.
SERVICE
With English-speaking receptionists and staff, there is no
difficulty on raising concerns and even for asking directions when intending to
go to a particular destination. There’s
less encounter actually with the hotel’s staff as you get to mingle more with the co-tourists, like a hostel.
But when needed, service is excellent and staff is definitely of great
help.
There are common areas in the hotel and the rooftop
dining area is a good one to lounge.

Highly Recommended. A
good value for money with tranquil surroundings, not compromising the experience
of an authentic Korean culture and most of all, its strategic location are the
complete package of why Baro ato Hotel is one good choice for an accommodation.
