HARPER KUTA BY ASTON: RUSTIC CHARM IN THE HEART OF LEGIAN
Neon
lights of different colors flash on all corners of the street. Pubs, restaurants, bars were all decorated in
time for the Halloween Parties. All
throughout the year, the street never sleeps.
Legian is a landmark in itself and one of the reasons why people visit
Bali, Indonesia.
With
all the bottles of Bintang consumed
and the countless strangers and travellers bumped into, there is a perfect
haven that sits in the middle of this organized chaos of Bali. And this will be our home in Bali – the Harper Kuta Hotel by Aston.
The
strategic location of the hotel is one of its strengths as compared to the
increasing number of hospitality establishments there is at Legian. Within the
vicinity are the famed bars – poppies 1 and 2, Bounty and Sky Garden. Shopping centers and stalls are innumerable
and the hotel has a special access as well direct to the Beachwalk (a known
shopping mall) and of course the Kuta Beach.
DELUXE ROOM
We
were assigned to a Deluxe Room. The
32-square meter room comes with a choice of queen and twin bedding, equipped
with a 42-inch LCD TV and a relaxing sofa with stool. The room is actually spacious with a balcony
providing a view of the hotels’ swimming pool.
A
safety deposit box is likewise available.
And even the en-suite bathroom with standing shower is equally spacious,
complete with all the complimentary toiletries, wash basin and hair dyer. Interior design is minimalist making emphasis
on the room’s amenities and comfort.
I
had a good rest then. I rate hotels’
room amenities mainly on the quality sleep I get and it indeed exceeded my
expectations. The soft pillows and comforters.

RUSTIK BISTRO AND BAR
The
in-house restaurant of the hotel is named Rustik Bistro and Bar. As the name suggests, it offers home comfort
food cooking paired with great wine and cocktails in fresh, light and elegant
space adjacent to the pool.
Apart
from the complimentary breakfast, we were able to experience their offerings
for dinner one night due to exhaustion of the days’ activities. Fortunately, the hotel provides comfort food
and ambiance in parallel to what is offered by outside restaurants at Legian. They do serve good food placing emphasis on
creating dishes that promote the finest traditional cooking- both French and
Indonesian such as Coq au Vin, Beef
Stew – Beef Rendang and Soto Ayam.
