PERFECT RETREAT AT MICROTEL INN AND SUITES BY WYNDHAM CABANATUAN
The day was about to end and
the rain was non-stop. This will be my
first to visit the province of Nueva Ecija and the vast rice-fields were my
expected view. And it was.
But along with the
rice-fields and quaint environ, the fiery sunset made a good introduction as we
checked-in and await our friends at this province’ rendezvous – the Microtel
Inn and Suites Cabanatuan.
It surely was a different
kind of weekend. The month of stay marks
as our first year of traveling together as a group. And with the relaxing yet intimate ambiance
that the hotel provides, it was a perfect retreat.
We were booked in four rooms
for a group of ten. Our assigned room
was strategically located near the swimming pool. Offering a wide range of
practical comforts, the room has a controlled air-conditioning system, two
queen-sized beds of chiropractor-approved mattress, IDD and NDD phone, internet
access and a private bath with hot and cold water. There is likewise a fully-automated fire
safety system installed. (click to check rates and other room types)
Our stay includes a
complimentary continental buffet breakfast.
For coffee-lovers, the hotel provides a free-flowing coffee at the
lobby. We had our meals served at the
Liquid Bar (opens 6:00AM TO 12:00AM) and we are glad with the kind of service
that they offer – efficient and attentive.
Truly, a good quality hospitality service was conveyed.
The hands-on resident manager,
Ms. Lita Budomo, was physically present to assist our needs. This is one of the advantages of a mid-range
hotel, as you feel the homey vibe and concerns are easily and properly
addressed. This might be the reason why
Microtel Cabanatuan is awarded as the Most Improved Hotel in Asia Pacific and one
of Trip Advisors’ 2015 Certificate of Excellence Awardee. All personnel are courteous and attentive to
every guests’ needs.
Microtel Inn and Suites has
a reputation of being a business hotel.
They cater to business meetings, seminars and trainings with their
function rooms and conference halls styled for comfort and ready for occupancy. There are a number of foreigners, mostly
Koreans who stay at the hotel for events at nearby golf clubs and simply to
play golf. Though it may be quite a
distance from the city center, it is nevertheless worth the stay of a rural
setting without compromising service through modern facilities and amenities.
And the culminating event of
our stay was no other than a plunge into the hotels’ swimming pool. We could have stayed longer, but, corporate
duties holds us back. We have to go back
to Manila.
