CABANATUAN | N.Y.O.R.K. - A NOT YOUR ORDINARY KOFFEE EXPERIENCE
There’s a new coffee shop in Cabanatuan City flocked by tourists and locals alike. Coffee shops have been my library when I was a student, my workplace at times, a rendezvous with friends when I don’t want to head home and a perfect place to chill and just people watch. But this coffee shop provides a unique coffee experience that you need to find out for yourself. Apt for its name, the bold signage of N.Y.O.R.K. coffee beckons – Not Your Ordinary Koffee Experience.
Adjacent to a function hall,
the high ceiling and classy interiors of the shop was a refreshing treat to
patrons. We were welcomed by the owners
of the coffee shop as we decided to treat ourselves for desserts and a cup of
coffee or tea, as the case may be.
The shop was surrounded by
teenagers and students doing their routine – to chat and study simultaneously. This is what happens when you visit a coffee
shop in groups for a study session. I
can totally relate.
Expecting only cakes and desserts
to land on our table, a full meal it was, of varied specialty dishes were
served. I was surprised a coffee shop
provides a full meal short of a restaurant.
And every dish was mouthwatering and delicious. I don’t know how to describe the food but it
all tastes good.
The Nyork Mango Salad served as a starter. For appetizer, we had the tipsy rings (onion rings). I don’t usually eat onion rings but due to
persistence of my friends to make it a try, I did. And I can’t taste the onions which is quite crispy
good. Another staple meal of coffee
shops is the pasta. And N.Y.O.R.K. has its own versions which we feasted on –
the Char Siu Chicken Pasta and Cheesy Baked Pene.
On a different coffee shop
experience, my favorites BBQ pork ribs, dory and buffalo wings were served to complement with the hot and cold
coffee and ice blended beverages in a variety.
The Nutella tiramisu ice blended is my favorite.

We left the coffee shop full
for a dinner course and not simply to sip on our respective cups of coffee. It was indeed a not ordinary coffee
experience.
