THE FIVE-STAR FOUR SEASONS RESORT DUBAI AT JUMEIRAH BEACH
Opulence
is the operative word when in a land of rising temperature there is a transient
sanctuary with a beachfront offering a myriad of services and amenities to
define a luxury travel.
Fortunately,
I was comforted and lead by invitation to the most prestigious neighborhood in
Dubai, the 5-star Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.
LOBBY INTERIOR DESIGN |
As I
alight from the taxi cab, an atmosphere of light and sophisticated luxury
complementing Arabic design with contemporary style becomes visible as I
approach the lobby and reception area. I
was welcomed by the Director of Public Relations, Ms. Mariana de Sousa.
THE DELUXE SEA VIEW ROOM |
There
are two views for the room types. The
Arabian Gulf on one side and the impressive skyline view on the opposite
side. I got to witness the former. The former is more expensive than the latter,
according to one of the staff. I questioned
and learned that Arabs in general would pay a premium for a beach view during
vacation and business trips. I even
surmise that skyline view should be more expensive since Dubai is a city known
for the out of this world architectural design of skyscrapers. (check room types and rates)
There
are 237 ultra-spacious hotel accommodations and every room includes a furnished
private balcony. If not for the high-temperature
humid weather, the balcony could have been a good vantage to stay put and
relax, especially for a solo traveler like me.
THE HUMID SUNSET SEA VIEW |
Check-in
time is 3PM and check-out at 12:00PM.
The Deluxe Sea-View Room provides a state of the art comfort. There is an L-shape sofa and desk convertible
as dining table. Remarkable amenities of
the room include an iPad Mini to access resort services, 55-inch flat screen
LCD TV, Bluetooth speakers, bedside control for drapes, refrigerated private
bar and a spacious walk-in closet with safe.
Since there is no one to take photos of me, I did a mirror shot of the
walk-in closet (for the first time) as souvenir.

THE SHAMELESS SELFIE ON A SPACIOUS WALK-IN CLOSET |
The
bathroom is elegantly designed clad with marble and mosaic. The centerpiece is the free-standing oval tub
with a separate rain shower. The two vanity sinks, magnifying mirror and
hair-dryer and a mirror with built-in television adds comfort even at the
bathroom. And of course, the toilet has
bidet and a telephone. The bathroom is
so spacious that you can even stay there and meditate for hours.
FOUR SEASONS BATHROOM |
The
garden balcony is an added feature and which is available on all rooms. The space is comfortable enough for
sunbathing, with a daybed for reading or napping and two comfortable chairs
with a side table for drinks. But
weather did not permit. I perspire
easily and so I have to be contented with the view courtesy of the balcony
without necessarily staying outdoor.
A GARDEN AND SEA VIEW FROM THE BALCONY |
The
Four Seasons Resort Dubai offers a variety of options for recreation. Unfortunately, I was not able to roam around
and experience all these services.
Before I dine at the Sea Fu Restaurant, one of the eleven restaurants
offered by the resort, I had the opportunity to roam around the Jumeirah Beach
and the resorts’ infinity pool fronting the Arabian Gulf. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are provided with
refreshments. A standout fixture is the
one at the beach providing a warmth through a bonfire. This would be a perfect place to loiter
during the winter season.

BONFIRE BY THE BEACH |
The
cheerful, efficient and excellent service provided by the hotel staff also
makes a difference of the short stay in this luxury hotel. It is no wonder why it is Dubai’s one of the
best 5-star hotels considering that the hotel is relatively new as it just
opened on the last quarter of 2014.
If
given the opportunity, I would surely stay longer at the hotel the next time I
visit Dubai City.
