SIEM REAP: CLAREMONT ANGKOR BOUTIQUE HOTEL

With a limited time to wander in the Land of Historical Civilization - Siem Reap, Cambodia - it is but fitting that after the long hours of walk and travel in visiting the Angkor Wat under the scorching heat, we pamper ourselves with a very relaxed and stress-free accommodations.

In a quiet neighborhood in the central district of Siem Reap, Cambodia ideally sits the Claremont Angkor Boutique Hotel, where accessibility to the commercial district of the country cannot be discounted.  This was our temporary refuge during our 3-day stay at Siem Reap, Cambodia.

With a reasonable price, exemplary service from waiting staff, spacious and well-ventilated rooms with a minimalist theme of decor and outstanding amenities and facilities, I would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel.

This is more than a boutique hotel experience.

Location:

Claremont Angkor Boutique Hotel
Wat Bo Road, Wat Bo Village
Siem Reap, Cambodia
No.: +85563900023

Rooms

We were booked for a Family Suite, equipped with three comfortable queen-sized beds, a minimalist decor and with two (2) spacious rooms.  As for the restroom, the size is more than sufficient, with accessible roll-in shower and hand-held or adjustable shower head and toilets with grab bars.  The floors are neatly polished made of marble tastefully decorated with contemporary set of furniture with spacious dressers and cabinets.  This is true relaxation and comfort at its best.

Amenities

Everything that a traveler and tourist seek for, this boutique hotel can offer.  Our guest room was equipped with high-speed internet access, television, mini-bar, hair dryer, 24-hour room service, toiletries, safety box, coffee and tea facilities and clean towels.

Before entering the hotel, there is a Terrace Lounge Bar on the left side, where we lounged after visiting the temples to start the drinking spree as early as lunch time.  Due to the good service and relaxing state of idly sitting and chatting with friends and the waiting staff/servers, surprisingly we were able to consume more than 30 bottles of their local beer, Angkor Beer, with free beer chow provided by the friendly manager of the hotel. Surprisingly, other bottles of beer were given free of charge as well when we checked-out.  A big thanks to their manager.  After almost 4 hours of drinking spree at the lounge bar, we transferred to the poolside at the right side continuing our drinking session.

International and local cuisine are available at their kitchen throughout the day.  Our stay includes a continental breakfast at the hotel, where we were able to experience the stunning view of Siem Reap as the restaurant is situated at its roof top.  Food is not that remarkable, however, the ambiance and the over-all dining experience make up for it.

Service

A hotel service is generally judged by the quality of service the waiting staff offers and not on the amenities and facilities per se.  With Claremont Angkor Boutique Hotel, I could say service is EXCELLENTThe staff and the manager were so polite, cheerful and always attentive to the needs and wants of their clientele.  The experience was beyond our expectations.  When I get back to Siem Reap, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Cost

Cost is definitely reasonable.  It was cheap for a well-maintained boutique hotel and excellent service.  Our stay at the said hotel costs PhP6,405.65.

Since, we were five (5) in the group, so our 3 days and 2 nights stay only made us shell out PhP1,281.10 each.  This is one of the greatest deal I had so far for hotel accommodations.
